Mammoth Hot Springs

Mammoth Hot Springs, located in Yellowstone National Park, is a unique geothermal area known for its stunning travertine terraces formed by mineral-rich hot water flowing from underground. The constantly changing landscape features cascading formations like Minerva Terrace and Canary Spring, colored by thermophilic bacteria. Unlike geysers, Mammoth Hot Springs’ water seeps up slowly, depositing calcium carbonate to create the terraces. The area is also home to wildlife like elk and bison and includes the historic Fort Yellowstone. Open year-round, it offers boardwalk trails for visitors to explore its otherworldly beauty.

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I like to be the right thing in the wrong place and the wrong thing in the right place. Being the right thing in the wrong place and the wrong thing in the right place is worth it because something interesting always happens.
