Paternoster, South Africa (2010)
PPaternoster is a old fishing village located on the West Coast of South Africa. It can be found 150 km north of Cape Town and has approximately 2000 inhabitants.
This small town is a sought after tourist destination and is best known for its lobsters and white-washed fishermen’s cottages dotted along the coast line.
Paternoster also has one of the most beautiful beaches on the West Coast of South Africa but a word of warning, the sea is VERY cold and think you might need a wetsuit to enjoy the waters without dying of hyperthermia.
One of the best open air casual restaurants you will find in the area is called Die Strandloper. It’s a 30min drive from Paternoster in the direction of Cape Town close to the town of Langebaan. Your table is in the sand at the water’s edge with an magnificent view of Langebaan Lagoon.
