Stellenbosch, South Africa (2010)

NNo trip to Cape Town is complete without going on a wine tasting trip to one of the awesome wine farms located close to Stellenbosch. We decided to give it a try and drove around the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain on the lookout for some wine farms that offer affordable tastings.

We stumbled upon the Delheim Wine estate owned and operated by the Sperling family which produces a wide range of internationally acclaimed wines. As a regular day guest you get to walk around and experience the farms majestic surroundings and try out some of the the superb wines.

Plus don’t forget to try out the wonderful food they serve in their restaurant. And add a bottle or 2 of wine to your meal and you are geared for a nice relaxed stress free afternoon. Just don’t get to inebriated as you will need to drive back to your accommodation. Unless you lucky enough to be on a tour group then by all means taste way! 🙂
