Venice, Italy (2009)
WWelcome to Venice (Venezia), the city that inspired and combined my love for travel & photography. This famous Italian city has got a certain magical charm to it. No matter which time of year you visit. Or time of day and night you stroll around the canals, it’s hard to describe it in words. It instills a different feeling and experience for everyone that visits this ancient city.
Venice is a city in the northeastern part of Italy and also the capital of the Veneto region. The city is comprised of 118 small islands separated by canals. And is linked with lots of beautiful old bridges comprising of so many design styles. Which makes it a photographer’s and artist’s dream travel destination. Yes I know it’s been photographed & painted to death but that’s because it’s got some much to offer!
I have been to this stunning city a few times and am very sure I will be returning again and again in the future. Especially for the Carnival of Venice which is held at the end of every January and stretches into the first part of February (The Carnival ends with the Christian celebration of Lent). The festival is world famous for its elaborate masks and period costumes. And has been my dream to visit Venice during that time. Wonder what I am doing next year that time? 🙂
